What makes Gluckigluck so special
The special thing about Gluckigluck is the combination of design, function, and humor. The fish shape is instantly recognizable and at the same time timeless.
The iconic glug sound is created by an air chamber inside the jug and provides a small moment of surprise every time. This very effect makes the Gluggle Jug a conversation starter and an object that brings people together.
Whether as a carafe for water or wine, as a vase for flowers, or as a decorative object. The possibilities for use are diverse. At the same time, they make perfect gifts and souvenirs that are guaranteed to delight.

The history behind the Gluggle Jug
The Gluckigluck, internationally known as the Gluggle Jug, has a long tradition. The first examples were created as early as the late 19th century in England.
Originally, the jugs were developed by Thomas Forester & Sons in Staffordshire and later popularized by Dartmouth Pottery, which established the iconic fish design.
The Gluggle Jug gained particular attention when even a specimen was produced for the British royal family. This led to it becoming a coveted collector's item and a true design classic.
Today, this traditional design continues to be nurtured and reinterpreted. After the closure of the original production, the brand was acquired, and manufacturing resumed to preserve this piece of design history.

Manufacturing and Quality
The original Gluckigluck carafes are still produced in England, specifically in the traditional ceramics center of Stoke on Trent.
Each piece is made from ceramic and produced in several steps, including molding, glazing, and final finishing. This handcrafted production ensures that each carafe possesses its own slight individuality.

Why Gluckigluck is so popular today
The Gluckigluck is a perfect example of how a historic design can still be relevant today. Its shape has remained almost unchanged for over 150 years, yet it still appears modern and fresh.
It combines nostalgia with humor and functionality. In a time when many products seem interchangeable, it clearly stands out.
That's why it's not just a practical everyday item, but also a true design statement.
