Who is behind Verandah
Verandah was founded by Anjali Patel Mehta, a former investment banker who left her career to create a brand that combines luxurious resortwear with sustainability. Her vision was to design clothing that conveys a sense of travel, sun, and freedom, all while being produced responsibly.
Today, Verandah is internationally recognized as one of the most prestigious Luxury Resortwear labels and is carried by leading international retailers.

Verandah sees itself as a Conscious Luxury Brand and consistently places sustainability at the heart of its brand philosophy. Production is deliberately in small quantities to avoid overproduction and promote more responsible use of resources.
A special quality feature of Verandah is also the Butterfly Mark Certification – one of the most prestigious independent sustainability awards in the luxury segment. It is awarded by Positive Luxury and only to brands that meet strict standards in environmental responsibility, social impact, governance, and sustainable innovation.
This makes Verandah one of a select group of international luxury brands that have their sustainability promises independently audited and certified. Particularly noteworthy: Verandah was one of the first Indian luxury fashion brands to receive this award. Verandah uses, among other things, sustainable materials such as EcoVero, Bemberg, Lenzing fibers, and GOTS-certified organic cotton. Production is ethical and with a clear focus on transparency, craftsmanship, and long-lasting quality.
Furthermore, the brand is strongly involved in social initiatives and supports several community projects in India. Particularly noteworthy is the Baagh Pari Project, through which Verandah supports the school education of over 200 children from the Moghiya Tribal Community – a community in the Ranthambhore area that has historically been heavily affected by poaching. In addition, the brand supports training programs in sewing and craftsmanship to provide young people with long-term professional prospects and create sustainable livelihoods.
